We come from all walks of life, from various age groups, from many cultures. Our students bring so many rich experiences of life and ministry to the classroom. I seek to facilitate a deep integration of lived experience and theory through my service as teacher and administrator."Dr. Lescher teaches courses in Spirituality, such as Transition and Transformation, Ministry and Spirituality, and a seminar on Thomas Merton. He is a member of the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality, the Catholic Theological Society of America, and the American Academy of Religion. Dr. Lescher has published several articles both in his field of specialization, American Catholic spirituality, and more broadly on issues of spiritual formation. Recent articles include "American Catholic Spirituality," in The Encyclopedia of American Catholic History, "Spiritual Direction: Stalking the Boundaries," in Handbook of Spirituality for Ministers, Vol. 2, and "Catholicism and Postmodernity: Faithing Our Practice," in The Way. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
